We are a satellite American Heart Association (AHA) training site. We offer BLS (basic Life Support) on all levels including BLS for Healthcare Provider. We also teach AHA First Aid. We offer quarterly CPR to the public for $10 per student. We also teach ACLS here at NCAD on a as needed basis. Please contact Training Manager at Ncadtraining@ncademail.com for details and cost.
All of our full-time, part-time, and volunteeer personnel, are required to take the EVOC class upon joining us at NCAD. The course consists of two parts: A four hour classroom session of an evening then the next morning driving an ambulance and/or a rescue truck thru a timed course that challenges most the skills needs for safe vehicle operations during emergency responses. Those who take the EVOC course are required to re-take the driving portion at least once every five years thereafter.
The Nodaway County Paramedic Program will cover all emergency medical concepts and techniques currently considered to be within the responsibilities of the paramedic (EMT-P) providing emergency care in a pre-hospital setting as set forth by the Unit of Emergency Medical Services of the State of Missouri. This program meets or exceeds course requirements established by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Missouri Unit of Emergency Medical Services. The education program will also cover topics related to the future trends and care methodologies in emergency medicine.

Course Length: First day of class September 5, 2023
● Fees/Tuition: $8500.00 includes: textbooks, FISDAP adaptive testing fees, lab equipment, shirt, and insurance, ACLS, PALS, and CPR. This does not include National Registry Paramedic Exams, Drug Screen, and Background Check.
● A non-refundable application fee of $100 is due at the time of the application. Fees and tuition can be paid by check, money order, or credit card.
● A monthly payment plan can be established.

o $1200 due on the first day of class
o Min of $450 per month payment until completely paid with a zero balance 45 days prior to taking the License Exam. At which your completion certification will be completed and sent in to allow you to take the national registry exam.
This course provides the necessary education and clinical rotation to prepare students for the NREMT - P certification process. Paramedics need to be able to provide advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care under medical control's authority to patients needing BLS care for illness, as well as critical patients who may be injured or in life treating emergencies. The paramedic student will be transporting patients by ambulance. The paramedic student will assume the role as lead patient provider and will manage the patient during care, as well as management throughout the process on scene/during transport. Nodawy County Ambulane District Paramedic Program holds a Letter of Review, which is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status, but is a status granted by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation Standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. However, it is NOT a guarantee of eventual accreditation.

The Emergency Medical Technician course prepares the EMT student to provide pre-hospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include an introduction to emergency medical services systems, roles and responsibilities of EMTs, anatomy and physiology, medical emergencies, trauma, special considerations for working in the pre-hospital setting, and providing patient transportation.
The course will consist of approximately 150 hours of didactic and skills instructions. Clinical sessions will include 8 hours In-Hospital and 5 Ambulance patient contacts by the completion of the course. Each student is required to complete both ambulance and hospital clinical rotations in order to successfully complete this course. Students are expected to be prompt for clinical rotations and to follow the policies and procedures at each clinical site.
